Where Does RunGap Store Workouts and Accounts?

RunGap HealthKit workout basket with service accounts on iOS.

Last updated

RunGap acts as a HealthKit workout basket: it reads finished workouts from Apple Health, holds them in app storage, and pushes to connected services (Strava, Garmin, TrainingPeaks and more) on demand or automatically. Service credentials live per account in the app.

Workouts themselves stay in HealthKit permanently; RunGap moves copies. The swag bag purchase unlocks unlimited sharing. Reinstalls restore service logins by hand while Health history never needed RunGap to exist.

Authorize HealthKit read once, add service accounts, then share per workout or auto. Credentials re-enter per reinstall. The basket is a queue, not an archive.

Frequently asked questions

does RunGap duplicate workouts on Strava

It can when overlapping sources push the same effort. Share from one basket run and let Strava deduplicate the rest. Delete dupes at the destination, not in RunGap.

do I lose workouts if I delete RunGap

No. Workouts live in HealthKit and on already synced services. Only the basket queue and service logins vanish. Reinstall, reconnect, and sharing resumes.
