Where Are Tekken 7 Save Files Located?
Where Tekken 7 keeps its save files per Steam ID on PC, and why copies between accounts never load.
Last updated
Tekken 7 saves live at %LOCALAPPDATA%\TekkenGame\Saved\SaveGames\TEKKEN7, inside a subfolder named after your numeric Steam ID. Ranks, treasures, and story progress all sit in that one numbered folder.
The ID binding is the whole story. A backup restores only under the same Steam account, and Steam Cloud syncs the same files when enabled. Config INI files sit beside the saves under Saved/Config/WindowsNoEditor for graphics tweaks. The TEKKEN7 folder name is uppercase, so type it exactly.
Where Tekken 7 stores this, by platform
%LOCALAPPDATA%\TekkenGame\Saved\SaveGames\TEKKEN7
The numeric folder is your Steam ID; keep it exactly. Check the folder is not read only if settings vanish between sessions, a long standing Tekken 7 quirk. Paste %LOCALAPPDATA%\TekkenGame into Explorer to jump there.
~/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/compatdata/347350/pfx/.../TekkenGame/Saved/SaveGames/TEKKEN7
Same tree inside the Proton prefix for app 347350. Copy the Windows folder contents straight in under the matching Steam ID. If two numeric folders appear, the newer timestamp marks the live account.
Frequently asked questions
how do i back up tekken 7 saves
Copy %LOCALAPPDATA%\TekkenGame\Saved\SaveGames\TEKKEN7 to the same path on the new PC and keep the numeric subfolder name. That number is the Steam account ID, so the copy only loads under the same account. Different account means starting over.
can i use someone elses tekken 7 save
It will not load. Saves bind to the numeric Steam ID folder, and the game ignores folders named for another account. There is no supported transfer; custom progress, ranks, and treasures stay with the original account.
where is the tekken 7 config file
In Saved/Config/WindowsNoEditor as Engine.ini and GameUserSettings.ini. The game rewrites them on exit, so edit while closed. The famous read only fix for vanishing settings targets the SaveGames folder permissions, not these files.
