Total Commander distills decades of configuration into two INI files. Wincmd.ini holds panels, colors, hotkeys, and history. Wcx_ftp.ini holds every saved FTP connection. Lose them and the commander forgets you.
The default home is a Ghisler folder in Roaming AppData, unless a program folder INI claims priority. Command line flags and registry keys can each override the location, so Help and About prints the live paths. That dialog outranks memory whenever setups disagree.
