Where Does TupiTube Save Projects?
TupiTube Desk saves animations as .tup project files wherever you choose. Shared showcase files pair .tup with .mp4 exports.
Last updated
TupiTube Desk projects are single .tup files in a folder you pick at save time. The format bundles scenes, frames, and assets for classroom sized animations. The public gallery pairs each .tup with an mp4 render of the same work.
There is no central library folder to manage. Classrooms pass .tup files around like documents. Desktop builds exist for the major OSes plus Android, and new projects start from File, New Project with explicit canvas settings. The desk edition targets classroom use, so projects stay small and portable.
Where TupiTube stores this, by platform
C:\Users\<username>\Documents\MyAnimation.tup
Editable project file. Keep the name stable when round tripping between school machines.
/Users/<username>/Documents/MyAnimation.tup
Same .tup format on Mac. Exports to mp4 or image sequences land wherever you point the exporter.
/home/<username>/Documents/MyAnimation.tup
Same .tup format on Linux. The project holds its own frame rate and canvas size.
Frequently asked questions
How do I share a TupiTube animation?
Send the .tup file. It holds the full editable project. Export mp4 separately for viewers who just want to watch.
Where do I set resolution and frame rate?
Use File, New Project and set resolution and frame rate first. Those project settings stick with the file from creation.
