Where Are ULTRAKILL Save Files Located?
Where ULTRAKILL keeps Slot folders with .bepis files in its install dir, and the old Hakita path.
Last updated
ULTRAKILL saves inside its install folder at <GameDir>\Saves, with Slot1 through Slot5 subfolders of .bepis files. A 2020 migration moved them out of the old %USERPROFILE%\AppData\LocalLow\Hakita\ULTRAKILL path.
Install relative saves mean uninstalls and verifications can wipe progress, the same trap as the first Little Nightmares. Copy the Saves folder out before Steam touches the install. The .bepis extension marks the slot files at a glance. Old Hakita folders copy forward.
Where ULTRAKILL stores this, by platform
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\ULTRAKILL\Saves
Slot folders with .bepis files here; no AppData involvement. Reach it via Steam Library > Right click > Manage > Browse local files. Copy the folder out before any uninstall, verify, or drive move.
~/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/compatdata/951620/pfx/.../ULTRAKILL/Saves
Same install relative Saves tail inside the Proton prefix. Copy the Windows slot folders straight in. Legacy Linux saves under ~/.config/unity3d/Hakita/ULTRAKILL move forward the same way.
Frequently asked questions
how do i back up ultrakill saves
Copy the Saves folder out of the install directory (steamapps\common\ULTRAKILL\Saves) before touching anything. Slot1 through Slot5 folders hold .bepis progress files. Paste them back after reinstalling; Steam Cloud coverage is partial, so the copy rules.
why do guides disagree on ultrakill save location
A 2020 migration moved saves from %USERPROFILE%\AppData\LocalLow\Hakita\ULTRAKILL into the install folder. Ancient guides still point at LocalLow, which has been empty for years. If that folder holds your saves, copy them forward into Saves/.
can i edit ultrakill saves
With BEPIS editors that read the .bepis slot files, for progress recovery rather than cheating. Note the slot number first and back up before editing; malformed files refuse to load. The community treats editors as repair tools.
