Where Does Vesktop Store Settings and Data?

Vesktop keeps its config in a platform userData folder, with Discord accounts living in the session it wraps.

Last updated

Vesktop is a standalone Discord client with Vencord built in, and it stores its own settings apart from Discord's folders. Themes, plugins and client options live in its userData directory per OS.

Your Discord login belongs to the wrapped session inside that same tree. Deleting the folder logs you out and resets Vencord plugins together. If the folder name differs by build, sort the parent by date after launching.

Where Vesktop stores this, by platform

Windows
%APPDATA%\vesktop

Settings in settings.json with plugin and theme state beside it. Quit fully from the tray before wiping. Stock Discord folders stay untouched.

macOS
~/Library/Application Support/vesktop

Same layout. Go to Folder in Finder reaches it. A reset returns Vencord to defaults along with the session.

Linux
~/.config/vesktop

XDG equivalent. Flatpak installs may redirect under ~/.var instead, so check there if this path is empty.

Quit Vesktop completely and delete its userData folder, keeping a copy of settings.json first if you customized heavily. Relaunching rebuilds defaults and asks for login.
