Where Does the VVS App Store Tickets?

Stuttgart VVS tickets live in private storage. The 2025 rewrite changed the package, so check which one.

Last updated

Stuttgart rewrote its ticket app in 2025 and changed vendors in the process. Old installs used an MDV package, while current installs use a Mentz package tied to the VVS Mobil Fahrplan and Tickets listing. Guides that mix the two IDs send readers to the wrong entry in Settings Apps, so confirm the installed string before following older steps.

Tickets bind to the account rather than to copied files, and local storage holds timetables, favorites and session. On a new phone, install the rewrite directly and log in to pull tickets back, with no migration from the retired build. The old app left the stores, so manual replacement is the only path off it.

Where VVS stores this, by platform

Android
/data/data/com.mentz.vvsmobile

Private data for the current Mentz package. Old MDV package retired with stores removal. Tickets restore via account login.

iOS
/var/mobile/Containers/Data/Application/<guid>/Documents

GUID container for the new VVS app (App Store ID 6464310701). Same account restores tickets after reinstall.

Frequently asked questions

How do I move to the new VVS app?

Install the new VVS Mobil Fahrplan and Tickets build (com.mentz.vvsmobile) and log in. Old VVSMobil data does not auto migrate; the old app was removed from stores and needs manual replacement.

Which VVS package do I have?

New rewrite is com.mentz.vvsmobile. Old build was com.mdv.VVSMobil. No eos.uptrade Stuttgart package exists. Check Settings Apps to see which ID you run before following guides.
