Where Does Whiteout Survival Store Your City and Progress?

Whiteout Survival keeps your city, heroes and alliance on Century Games servers. The phone holds cache, downloaded event art and login tokens.

Last updated

Whiteout Survival runs several gigabytes of art, audio, and event files on the device, which makes it look like the game lives on the phone. It does not. Furnace level, heroes, troops, and the whole alliance war map sit on Century Games servers, tied to the account you bound during the opening hours: Google, Apple, Facebook, or a Century Games login.

That is why the game keeps nudging you to bind an account. With one of those logins in place, the city survives a lost phone, a factory reset, and a switch from Android to iPhone. Play as a guest and the opposite is true: the entire city exists for exactly one install, and support has nothing to match without a bound account.

Where Whiteout Survival stores this, by platform

Android
/storage/emulated/0/Android/data/com.gof.global

Downloaded assets, event banners, cached audio, and sign-in state. File managers on Android 11 and later cannot open it. Clearing it forces a resource re-download, never a loss of progress on a bound account.

iOS
/var/mobile/Containers/Data/Application/<guid>/Documents

Per-install container whose GUID changes with each reinstall, and browsing it needs a jailbreak. Full iPhone backups copy it, but the bound account is what truly restores a city.

Frequently asked questions

I got a new phone. How do I move my Whiteout Survival city?

Install the game and sign in with the same bound account: Google, Apple, Facebook, or Century Games. Point it at the same state you played on, since the account is the key. Guest cities cannot move at all, which is the risk in delay.

What happens if I clear Whiteout Survival's app data?

You are signed out and the downloaded resources are erased, so the game re-downloads them on the next launch. Heroes, troops, and the city itself are untouched as long as the account was bound, which is exactly why binding is worth the minute it takes.

Why is the Whiteout Survival folder so large?

Every event, skin, and animated banner gets cached for speed. Five gigabytes is normal on an active account. Clearing the cache trims it down and the game quietly fills it again over the next events, so there is no permanent win there.
