Where Are The Witch's Bakery Save Files Located?

The Witch's Bakery keeps one Save.lunne file per slot in AppData LocalLow under Sunny Lab. It is plain text, which the developer's own guides use.

Last updated

Sunny Lab's narrative bakery sim keeps its data in one place: a GameFiles folder under AppData\LocalLow, inside a Sunny Lab directory. Each save slot is a file called Save.lunne, in a slot folder numbered from zero.

The file is plain text. The developer's own troubleshooting posts walk players through editing values inside Save.lunne, so small fixes do not need any special tool. One warning from the same posts: demo saves are not compatible with the full game, so do not copy one over when upgrading.

Where The Witch's Bakery stores this, by platform

Windows
%USERPROFILE%\AppData\LocalLow\Sunny Lab\The Witch's Bakery\GameFiles\Slot_0

Slot_0 holds Save.lunne and its working data. Other slots get sibling folders. Copy Save.lunne before editing it in a text editor.

Frequently asked questions

Where is the save file for The Witch's Bakery?

In %USERPROFILE%\AppData\LocalLow\Sunny Lab\The Witch's Bakery\GameFiles, inside a slot folder such as Slot_0, as a file named Save.lunne.

Can I use my demo save in the full game?

No. The demo and full version store data differently, and loading a demo save can cause bugs or get the game stuck. Start a new game in the full version.

Is it safe to edit Save.lunne?

It is a text file, and the developer's guides edit it directly, but back it up first. Duplicate the file before changing anything so you can put the original back.
