Where Does the YouVersion Bible App Store Data?

The YouVersion Bible app keeps offline downloads and reading plans in private storage on both phones.

Last updated

YouVersion keeps downloads and plans cache in private app storage on each phone. Android uses its own package folder for this data. iOS uses a per install container with a GUID name. Downloaded translations build up there on readers that keep many versions offline.

Plans and highlights sync through the account when signed in. Downloaded versions do not transfer with a folder copy. Manage them inside the app download manager before wiping. Sync highlights first, then reinstall and fetch the needed translations again from the library.

Where YouVersion Bible stores this, by platform

iOS
/var/mobile/Containers/Data/Application/<guid>/Documents
