Where Are Adobe Connect Recordings Stored?

Adobe Connect recordings live in the Connect Central library, with offline MP4 export through the meeting add-in.

Last updated

Adobe Connect recordings live server-side in the content library, not on your computer. Hosts find them through Connect Central under each meeting's Recordings page, where permissions, renaming and storage all happen. Playback is a URL anyone with access can open in a browser.

Local files only exist when you make them. The Make Offline action converts a recording to MP4 on your machine through the meeting add-in, saving wherever you choose. Nothing downloads automatically, which is why searching the drive for a meeting recording always comes up empty.

Where Adobe Connect stores this, by platform

Windows
Server-side (Adobe Connect Central library)

Recordings sit under each meeting in the library. Use Actions and then Make Offline to render an MP4 locally. Conversion runs in real time through the add-in, and only one add-in instance can convert at once on a Mac.

macOS
Server-side (Adobe Connect Central library)

Same server-side library as Windows. Offline MP4 export works identically, with the one instance conversion limit above. Support may ask for desktop app logs when meetings misbehave, which is the only local data worth mentioning.

Frequently asked questions

how do i download an adobe connect recording as mp4

Open the recording in Connect Central, choose Actions and then Make Offline. Pick MP4 and a local folder. Conversion plays through in real time, so a one hour meeting takes one hour to export.

where do i find my adobe connect recordings

Open the Meetings tab in Connect Central, find your meeting under My Meetings, and open its Recordings page. Every recording for that session is listed there with playback and management actions.
