Where Does Aidoku Store Manga and Backups?
Aidoku iOS library, sources and Settings backup export to Files app.
Last updated
Aidoku is open source and local first. The library, WASM sources, per source settings, downloads and tracker links (AniList, MyAnimeList) live in the app sandbox on iPhone, iPad and Mac. Komga, Kavita and Suwayomi are browsed as services with read state syncing back.
Backups are the portable piece and they work well. Create one in Settings > Backups, export it with Save to Files, and keep that file somewhere safe. Import on the new device by sharing the file into Aidoku and hitting Restore. Local CBZ imports travel inside the same backup.

Create via Settings > Backups > plus icon, export with long press > Export > Save to Files. Sources come from the community repo index URL. Downloads and tracker auth restore with the backup.
Frequently asked questions
how do I move Aidoku to a new iPhone
Make a backup in Settings > Backups, export it to Files or iCloud Drive, then open it on the new phone with the share sheet into Aidoku and tap Restore. Sign into trackers again if tokens expired.
where are Aidoku sources stored
Inside the app alongside the library, installed from source lists such as the community index. The backup includes them, so a restore brings back both the manga list and the fetchers that fill it.
