Where Does Komic Store Servers and Offline Comics?

Komic iOS Komga and Kavita servers, offline downloads and reading progress.

Last updated

Komic is a dedicated Komga and Kavita client for iPhone and iPad: no bundled sources, no extension repos. Servers you add (one or many, with credentials) are browsed remotely with server side search, and chosen issues sync to the iPad for offline reading.

Progress is the shared piece. Read state syncs with the server, so the web UI and the app agree on what is finished. The offline cache is a convenience copy inside the sandbox. Treat the server library as permanent and the downloads as replaceable, since wiping the app clears them.

Where Komic stores this, by platform

iOS
App sandbox (servers, cache and offline downloads)

Multi server support with per account login. Sync selected results to the device for offline, then read with zoom and directions of your choice. Re-add servers after reinstall; progress restores from the server side.

Frequently asked questions

do Komic downloads survive reinstalling the app

No. Offline issues live in the sandbox and vanish with the app. The servers and their read states survive because they live on your Komga or Kavita host. Re-add the server and sync again.

where are my Komic login details kept

In the app sandbox and iOS keychain entries for the app. There is no exportable server list file, so note hostnames and usernames separately if you manage several servers.
