Where Is Aniimo Progress Stored?
Aniimo keeps creatures and progress server side; the PC client only stores settings, in the registry under HKCU Software Aniimo.
Last updated
Aniimo is server authoritative. Your creatures, progress, and pulls live on the game's servers tied to your account, so there is no local save file worth hunting for. Reinstalling is safe by design: sign back in and the collection returns.
What does live on your PC is configuration. On Windows the client writes settings to the registry under HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Aniimo\Aniimo rather than an ini file in AppData, which trips up the usual folder hunt. Cloud sync rows are listed for the store versions, but the account is the real migration path.
Where Aniimo stores this, by platform
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Aniimo\Aniimo
Client settings only: graphics and interface options. Export the key before a reinstall if you want to skip reconfiguring. Progress never lives here.
~/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/compatdata/4126040/pfx/
Steam Deck and Linux run the Windows client through Proton for app ID 4126040, and the registry key above rides inside the prefix.
Frequently asked questions
How do I move Aniimo progress to a new PC?
Sign in with the same account on the new install. Creatures, progress, and purchases are stored server side, so nothing local needs to move. Local files only cover settings you would otherwise reconfigure.
Where are Aniimo settings stored on PC?
In the Windows registry under HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Aniimo\Aniimo. There is no ini file in AppData to edit. Change options in game and the client writes them there, or export the key to carry settings to another machine.
