Where Does AntiMicroX Store Profiles?

Where AntiMicroX keeps gamepad profiles and settings on Linux.

Last updated

On Linux, AntiMicroX keeps controller profiles and app data under ~/.local/share/antimicrox. Profiles use the .amgp (or older .gamecontroller.amgp) format and you can point the app at any folder, but this is the default it returns to.

Flatpak installs complicate saving because of portal permissions. Point the profile directory somewhere the sandbox can see, or install with home access, and always type the extension when saving through the file dialog.

Where AntiMicroX stores this, by platform

Linux
~/.local/share/antimicrox/

Default directory for .amgp controller profiles and application data on native installs. Flatpak builds may redirect through the document portal, so prefer an explicit save path with the extension included. Auto profile recipes are stored with the app settings here.

Frequently asked questions

My Flatpak profiles save with weird hidden names. Why?

Save with the .amgp extension explicitly. The Flatpak file portal mangles extensionless names into hidden files, which is a known packaging quirk rather than lost data.

How do I auto load a profile at startup?

Enable Auto Load Last Opened Profile under Options, Settings, General. For per-game switching, add recipes under the Auto Profile tab matched on window title or program name.
