Where Does Blink Store Camera Clips?
Where the Blink app keeps clips on phones, plus Sync Module USB and cloud trial roles explained in detail.
Last updated
Blink is cloud first with a local backup option. Motion clips upload to Blink cloud under trial or plan. A Sync Module with USB keeps a parallel local copy on supported hardware. The phone holds settings, device list, and manual saves only.
Manual saves land in the gallery through sharing. The account holds cameras and plans. When clips expire, that is the cloud retention rule working, not a phone storage bug. For keepsakes, download from the clip list before expiry. Keep the Sync Module powered, since unplugged modules silently stop the USB backup.

Frequently asked questions
Where are my Blink camera recordings?
In Blink cloud while the trial or subscription lasts, on the Sync Module USB drive for local backup, and in the phone gallery for manual saves. Download clips to the phone from the clip list, then copy to a PC. Expired cloud clips vanish on schedule.
Does Blink work without a subscription?
Yes, to the Sync Module USB drive on supported modules. The app still needs cloud for some features, and the USB backup has its own viewing flow. Phone storage holds only manual saves. Check the USB status page when local clips stop appearing.
