Where Does Eufy Security Store Clips and Snapshots?

Where the Eufy Security app keeps clips and snapshots on phones, plus HomeBase and card storage roles.

Last updated

Eufy records locally first. Cameras write to microSD or to a HomeBase with built in storage. Cloud is optional per device. The phone app holds the device list, settings, and only the clips you manually saved while watching.

Manual saves land in the gallery or Files, sometimes under a Eufy folder on Android. The device list follows your Eufy account on sign in. When events vanish, the usual cause is a full card or a HomeBase that lost power, not app deletion. Check storage status in camera settings before reinstalling anything.

Where Eufy Security stores this, by platform

Android
/sdcard/DCIM/Eufy

Manual clips land here or in the gallery. Continuous events stay on HomeBase storage, camera card, or Eufy cloud. Check the storage page when playback gaps appear.

iOS
Photos/Eufy (manual saves, plus HomeBase and card)

Manual saves go to Photos through the app. Device list follows your Eufy account. Local video stays on HomeBase or the camera card, cloud video in Eufy cloud.

Frequently asked questions

Where are my Eufy camera recordings?

On the HomeBase hard drive or camera microSD for local record, in Eufy cloud when subscribed, and in the phone gallery for manual saves. Download events to the phone from playback first, then copy to a PC. Formatting the card erases the local copy.

Does Eufy record locally without a subscription?

Yes, when the cameras bind to a HomeBase with storage. The app playback view picks HomeBase, card, or cloud per camera. Phone storage holds only manual saves and settings. Check the storage page in device settings when playback shows gaps.
