Where Does Block Blast Store Your Progress?
Block Blast keeps scores, levels and the current board on the device itself. No account, no cloud: uninstall the game and progress goes with it.
Last updated
Block Blast is one of the rare billion-install games with no account system at all. High score, level record, streak, and the board you are halfway through all live on the device, written automatically as you play. Nothing syncs anywhere, because there is nowhere to sync it to.
That design is why the game works on a plane, and also why nobody can restore a score that is gone. Clearing app data, uninstalling, or resetting the phone all end the same way. If a streak matters to you, leave the app's data alone and keep automatic cleaner apps away from it.
Where Block Blast! stores this, by platform
/storage/emulated/0/Android/data/com.block.juggle
Scores, level progress, and in-progress board state live in the app's storage. Android 11 and newer hide this from file managers. Uninstalling or clearing app data resets everything; there is no account to recover from.
/var/mobile/Containers/Data/Application/<guid>/Documents
Per-install container holding the same local progress, with a GUID that changes on reinstall. Full device backups do capture it, so restoring an iPhone from backup can bring scores back.
Frequently asked questions
Can I transfer Block Blast progress to a new phone?
No. The game has no account or cloud save, so scores and level records stay on the old device. A full phone-to-phone transfer that copies app data occasionally carries it over, but nothing about it is guaranteed.
What resets Block Blast progress?
Clearing the app's data, uninstalling it, or resetting the phone. Auto-cleaner apps that sweep cached and unused files can catch it too. There is no recovery path once it is gone, since no copy was ever uploaded.
I closed Block Blast mid-game. Is my board still there?
Yes, the board saves automatically as you place pieces. Closing the app entirely and reopening restores the session. Killing the app at the exact wrong moment mid-write is the one way to lose the current board.
