Where Does Royal Match Save Progress on Your Phone?
Royal Match keeps levels, coins and boosters on Dream Games servers after a Facebook, Google or Apple sign-in. Reinstalls restore them.
Last updated
Royal Match plays fine offline, which makes it feel like everything saves to the device. The truth is friendlier. Dream Games keeps your level, coins, boosters and castle progress on its servers as long as the game is connected to Facebook, Google or Apple. Reinstall months later, sign back in, and the castle is still there, decorations and all.
Staying a guest is the one real danger. Play without connecting and the only copy of your progress sits inside app storage, where an update gone wrong or a factory reset can take it along. Connecting takes a few taps in settings and also unlocks the friend leaderboards and team features the game already shows you. The local files themselves are unexciting: level art, sounds, textures and the session token. Once a login is in place, clearing them costs you nothing but a re-download.
Where Royal Match stores this, by platform
/storage/emulated/0/Android/data/com.dreamgames.royalmatch
Cached level graphics, audio and sign-in state. File managers on Android 11 and later cannot open it. Clearing it signs you out but leaves the server copy of your castle untouched.
/var/mobile/Containers/Data/Application/<guid>/Documents
Per-install container, GUID changes each reinstall, jailbreak needed to browse it. Full iPhone backups include it, yet signing in is what truly restores progress.
Frequently asked questions
How do I transfer Royal Match progress to another device?
Sign in with the same Facebook, Google or Apple account you used before. Levels, coins, boosters and your team come back from Dream Games servers. Connect the account before switching devices, because guest progress never crosses over.
I played Royal Match as a guest and lost everything. Can it be restored?
Without a connected account there is nothing for support to match, and guest progress in the app folder is gone after a reinstall. Purchase receipts sometimes help support locate an account, so dig those out if you ever bought coins.
Does the Royal Match folder hold my coins and boosters?
No. Coins, boosters and lives live on the server, which is why the game asks you to sign in for team features. The folder is a cache of art and sound, safe to clear whenever you are connected to a login.
