Where Does BookWalker Store Purchased Books?
BookWalker owned library on the account with per device offline downloads.
Last updated
BookWalker sells manga and light novels you own: the purchase ledger, coins and shelves live on the account (up to 7 devices) while each device downloads its own offline copies into app storage. Buying once reads everywhere after a fresh download.
Recent store and app migrations make the account hygiene matter. Older Global Store purchases moved across with migration, and the new app family restores the shelf on login. LCP licensed files also open in any LCP compatible reader, unlike the classic app locked titles.
Where BookWalker stores this, by platform
App-private storage (owned books downloaded per device)
Select and download from My Library for offline. LCP titles also open in third party LCP readers. Reinstalling clears downloads; purchases and coins return on sign in.
App sandbox (owned books downloaded per device)
Same account bound shelf on iPhone and iPad with offline reader. Confirm which store region the account belongs to when a title seems missing after migration.
Frequently asked questions
are BookWalker books mine to keep
Yes, purchases attach to the account permanently and redownload any time. Old Global Store titles needed the account migration to carry over. Keep the login and the shelf survives app and device changes.
can I read BookWalker books outside the app
LCP DRM titles, yes, in any LCP supported reader with the account pass. Classic app locked titles stay in BookWalker apps. Check the title page for which regime applies before planning a move.
