Where Does Burner Store Numbers and Messages?

Burner keeps numbers and credits in its cloud account, with phones holding cache and settings only.

Last updated

Burner numbers live in the cloud account, not on the handset. Messages, call logs and remaining credits follow the login across devices.

The phone holds media cache and preferences in private storage. Expiring a number returns it to the pool permanently, which no local backup can undo.

Where Burner stores this, by platform

Android
/data/data/com.adhoclabs.burner

Private storage with cache and settings. Verify the package on the Play Store listing if your build differs. Numbers and history resync on login.

iOS
/var/mobile/Containers/Data/Application/<guid>/Documents

Per install container path. Everything account bound returns after signing in, except cached media.

Frequently asked questions

will deleting burner lose my second number

Deleting the app does nothing to the number, but expiring or burning it inside the app releases it forever. Keep numbers active to keep them.

Install and sign in. Numbers, credits and history sync from the account with no file transfer involved.
