Where Is Clash Royale Progress Stored?

Cards, trophies and Pass Royale progress sit on Supercell's servers under your Supercell ID. The app folder holds only cache and login state.

Nothing you win in a match is kept on the phone. Card levels, trophies and Pass Royale progress all live on Supercell's servers, keyed to your Supercell ID. The app folder exists for cache and login state, and that is the whole list.

That makes the ID the single thing worth protecting. Registered to an email you control, it turns any phone swap into a short login. Unregistered, the account lives on one device, and clearing the app data will cost you it.

Where Clash Royale stores this, by platform

Android
/storage/emulated/0/Android/data/com.supercell.clashroyale

Downloaded assets and session data. Nothing here restores an account on its own. On Android 11 and later the folder is hidden from file managers anyway.

iOS
/var/mobile/Containers/Data/Application/<guid>/Documents

Per install container with a GUID that changes on reinstall. iCloud backups may carry it, but account recovery always runs through Supercell ID.

Frequently asked questions

What happens to my card levels if I reinstall Clash Royale?

Nothing, as long as you sign back into the account they live on. Card levels are server data. The reinstall downloads a fresh cache and pulls everything from Supercell's servers at login, usually within a couple of minutes.

Can I play one Clash Royale account on phone and tablet?

Yes. Install on both, sign in with the same Supercell ID, and start matches on whichever you feel like. Supercell allows one active session at a time, so the other device simply gets logged out when a match starts.

Do I need Facebook to play Clash Royale?

No. Supercell ID is the main login and works with any email address. Facebook sign in still exists as a convenience link, but the ID is what owns the account, and linking Facebook alone does not protect it the same way.
