Where Is Hay Day Progress Stored?
Your farm lives on Supercell's servers, not on the phone. Here is what the app folder actually contains, and how farm transfers really work.
Last updated
A farm is a lot of state, and Hay Day keeps all of it on Supercell's servers. Crops, animals, diamonds and the valley schedule never touch permanent storage on your phone. What is stored locally is a cache of art and assets plus a login token.
Farm moves are account moves. Register Supercell ID, sign in somewhere else, and the farm is there, on Android and iPhone alike. Two different farms stay separate, though. There is no merging them into one, however attached you are to both.
Where Hay Day stores this, by platform
/storage/emulated/0/Android/data/com.supercell.hayday
Asset cache and session state only. Clearing it logs the device out but leaves the farm on the server. Hidden from file managers on Android 11 and later.
/var/mobile/Containers/Data/Application/<guid>/Documents
A container that is recreated with a new GUID on every install. Apple's device backups can include it, but the account login is the supported way to bring a farm to a new iPhone.
Frequently asked questions
How do I back up my Hay Day farm?
There is no file backup. Register Supercell ID against an email you will keep, and the farm is safe on Supercell's servers from that point on. Any new device then only needs that login, no copying involved.
Can I move my farm from iPhone to Android?
Yes, once Supercell ID is registered on the old device. Sign into the same ID on the Android phone and the farm loads as it was. Diamonds bought through a store stay with that store; everything earned in the game travels.
My old phone died. Can I still get my farm back?
If Supercell ID was registered, yes: install the game on any device and sign in with the same email and password. If the farm was never registered, contact Supercell support with whatever details you have, though recovery is not guaranteed.
