Where Are Windows Color Profiles Stored?

Windows keeps ICC color profiles in System32\spool\drivers\color, assigned per display in Color Management.

Last updated

Windows stores ICC color profiles in the spool drivers color folder, shared by every display on the machine. Assigning a profile to a monitor in Color Management only references these files.

Calibration tools drop new profiles here automatically. Copying an ICM file into the folder makes it selectable, and deleting one unassigns it everywhere at once.

Where Windows stores this, by platform

Windows
C:\Windows\System32\spool\drivers\color

System wide ICC and ICM profiles. Assign per display in Color Management. Needs administrator rights to add or remove files.
