Where Are Consume Me Save Files Located?
Consume Me saves to LocalLow/Qdork/ConsumeMe2020 on Windows and ~/Library/Application Support/Qdork/ConsumeMe2020 on Mac.
Last updated
Consume Me uses Unity defaults with the studio folder Qdork: %USERPROFILE%\AppData\LocalLow\Qdork\ConsumeMe2020 on Windows, ~/Library/Application Support/Qdork/ConsumeMe2020 on Mac. The developer confirmed both paths directly on the Steam forums.
The gotcha is structural, not locational. One autosave file holds the entire run, so the folder is easy to find and easy to regret. Manual saves at chapter starts are the real backup strategy; the folder copy just preserves them.
Where Consume Me stores this, by platform
%USERPROFILE%\AppData\LocalLow\Qdork\ConsumeMe2020
Contains the single-file autosave plus any manual saves. Copy the whole folder with the game closed when moving machines.
~/Library/Application Support/Qdork/ConsumeMe2020
Same Qdork/ConsumeMe2020 layout as Windows. Reach it via Finder > Go > Go to Folder.
Frequently asked questions
Why do guides insist on manual saves in Consume Me?
The autosave is a single file covering the whole run, and you cannot revisit earlier chapters from it. Make a manual save at the start of each chapter (from the save screen, before picking outfits) so mistakes do not force a full replay. Chapter 4 especially deserves one.
Does the demo save carry into the full game?
Yes, the same folders serve both builds, so progress carries over. The manual-save habit matters here too: the demo autosave becomes your day-one file in the full game.
