Where Does DatPiff Store Offline Mixtapes?

DatPiff mixtape downloads and library sync in app storage on mobile.

Last updated

DatPiff keeps offline mixtapes in app private storage as managed downloads. Classic tapes stream free and save per project for offline play. Like its mixtape rivals, the files play only inside the app.

Library state (favorites, ratings, download queue) follows the DatPiff account. Audio stays per device. A reinstall restores the shelf and forgets the audio, so redownload on Wi-Fi before flights. Pulled tapes take their offline copies with them.

Where DatPiff stores this, by platform

Android
App-private storage (mixtapes downloaded in-app)

Per tape offline saves with queue management. Avoid system Clear Data; use the in-app cache controls. SD card moves are not offered for the encrypted cache.

iOS
App sandbox (mixtapes downloaded in-app)

Same model on iPhone with background playback offline. Offloading may keep the shell; deleting wipes downloads and forces a fresh queue.

Frequently asked questions

can I export DatPiff mixtapes to my music library

No. Downloads are licensed cache inside DatPiff, not transferable audio. Look for the tape on a store or the artist page for a portable release.

my DatPiff downloads are gone but the account is fine, why

The app data was cleared, the app reinstalled, or the tape was removed. Sign in to confirm the library, then queue the surviving tapes for Wi-Fi download again.
