Where Are Death's Gambit: Afterlife Save Files Located?
The Death's Gambit save files on PC, under a lowercase project folder in Local AppData.
Last updated
Afterlife saves under a lowercase project folder in Local AppData with a numeric suffix baked into the name. The folder looks like a build artifact rather than a game directory, which is why searches miss it.
No Steam Cloud watches over these files, so the local folder is the only copy in existence. Back it up before the heroic bosses humble the backup routine too.

Local AppData under the lowercase project folder with its numeric suffix. No Steam Cloud sync, so the local files are the only copy. Covers Afterlife content on the same path.
Frequently asked questions
Does Steam Cloud back up Death's Gambit?
No. Cloud sync is off for this title, which makes manual copies of the project folder essential.
Does this cover the original 2018 release?
Yes. Afterlife shares the same save path as the original, so one page covers both versions.
