Where Are Descenders Save Files Located?
Descenders keeps career progress in the Windows registry, which Steam Cloud only partly syncs.

Descenders stores progress in an unusual place: the Windows registry under the RageSquid name. Career data, unlocks, and settings share that key instead of living in files.
That choice has a real consequence Steam Cloud cannot fix. The cloud syncs some data but explicitly leaves Career-Plus shortcuts and Grand Tour progress in the registry. Reinstalling Windows wipes exactly the modes that take longest. Export the key before any reinstall if those completions matter.

Career, unlocks, and settings in the registry, not files. Steam Cloud skips Career-Plus and Grand Tour data here, so export the key before reinstalling Windows.
