Where Does Dooble Store Profiles and Settings?

Where the Dooble browser keeps profiles, tabs and settings on desktop systems, and how to confirm the exact folder.

Last updated

Dooble keeps a home directory with bookmarks, history, cookies and tab state in one place. Package builds and portable installs can move it, so the in-app Settings page is the reliable source. Defaults below cover standard installs on each desktop OS.

Start with the default per OS paths below. If they do not match, the Settings home field shows the real one. Copy the whole folder with the browser closed; SQLite files dislike being copied mid-write. A fresh launch rebuilds missing cache from the restored profile.

Where Dooble stores this, by platform

Windows
%APPDATA%\Dooble

Default home with bookmarks and session files. Portable builds can relocate it, so confirm in Settings when in doubt. Close the browser before copying.

macOS
~/Library/Application Support/Dooble

Same home layout under Application Support. Use Finder Go to Folder to reach it. Tab state and cookies copy with the parent.

Linux
~/.dooble

Qt style home under the user directory or XDG config by package. Check Settings for the exact home on distro builds. Copy whole with the browser closed.

Frequently asked questions

How do I back up Dooble bookmarks and sessions?

Close Dooble and copy its home folder elsewhere. Bookmarks, history and tab state travel with it. Restoring means dropping the same folder back before launch.

How do I confirm my Dooble data folder?

Open Dooble Settings and read the Home or data directory field. That field wins over defaults, since portable and package builds can relocate the folder.
