Doxie keeps it simple. Scans land in a Doxie folder inside Documents unless a button preset sends them elsewhere. Settings and button presets live in app data on each system. The structure is stable across releases, which makes manual backup easy.
Cloud sends are copies, not moves. A scan shared to Dropbox still leaves a local original unless the preset says otherwise. For migration, copy the Documents folder plus export presets from settings. Matching app versions on both machines avoids preset import errors.
