Endless Space 2 keeps campaigns in a Save Files folder under Documents on Windows, with per user settings in a Users subfolder holding Registry.xml. The split means one backup needs the whole Endless Space 2 tree, not just the saves.
Mac uses the Application Support equivalent with the same interior. Steam Cloud and GOG Galaxy both sync the saves. Match DLC and mods on any target machine, since a campaign referencing absent content refuses to load.
