Where Does the eRezept App Store Data?
The gematik eRezept app stores prescriptions and login under its private app data on Android and iOS.
Last updated
Das E-Rezept keeps its login session, pharmacy list and cached codes in private app storage. The package name is de.gematik.ti.erp.app on Android. Prescriptions themselves live server side with insurers and pharmacies. Local files hold session and cached copies only, so a new login pulls the rest down. Keep the package name for support requests.
iOS uses the standard sandboxed container with a per install GUID, so the literal path changes per device. Reach it through Finder backups or the Files integration, not by typing the GUID. Support asks for the package name, not the data path. Clear cache first from system app settings when codes look stale. Full storage clear logs out and drops pharmacy lists, so use it only when cache clear fails.
Where eRezept stores this, by platform
/data/data/de.gematik.ti.erp.app
Private databases, prefs and cache for the verified gematik package. Prescriptions sync from servers; this folder holds session and offline copies.
/var/mobile/Containers/Data/Application/<guid>/Documents
Sandboxed container with per install GUID. App Store ID 1511792179. Access through device backup or app storage settings; the GUID differs per install.
Frequently asked questions
Do I lose prescriptions when switching phones?
No. Prescriptions sync from your health insurance and pharmacy servers after login with health card or insurance app. Local data holds cache and settings only. Log back in on the new phone to pull everything down.
How do I clear the eRezept cache on Android?
Open Settings Apps, pick Das E-Rezept, then Storage and Clear Cache first. Clearing full storage logs you out and drops downloaded pharmacy lists. Use it when the app shows stale redemption codes.
