Where Does the DAK App Store Data?

The DAK App keeps mailbox and bonus data in private storage. The separate DAK ePA uses its own package.

Last updated

DAK splits its offering in two. The main DAK App handles mailbox, bonus and services. The DAK ePA holds the electronic patient record under a rise_world package. Both use private storage with per platform IDs. Local data holds session and cached PDFs.

Do not mix their data dirs when troubleshooting. Export PDFs from inside each app before wiping. Each app pulls its own records after login. Clearing one folder while the app runs ends that session only. Check the mailbox and record list inside each app after login to confirm.

Where DAK stores this, by platform

Android
/data/data/de.dak.dak_app

Private session and mailbox cache for the main DAK app. The ePA sibling keeps its own separate package and record store.

iOS
/var/mobile/Containers/Data/Application/<guid>/Documents

GUID container for the DAK App (App Store ID 1333473784). The DAK ePA is a separate listing with its own container.

Frequently asked questions

Do DAK documents survive reinstall?

No. Letters and bonus sync from DAK servers after login. Local data holds session and cached PDFs. The ePA record lives in the separate DAK ePA app, not here.

What is the difference between DAK App and DAK ePA?

Main app is de.dak.dak_app. The ePA sibling is com.rise_world.epa.dakGesundheit. They share login credentials but keep separate local data. Back up each through its own export.
