Where Does Farrago Store Sound Sets?

Where Farrago keeps sound sets and how .farragoset export works.

Last updated

Farrago copies every imported sound into its own storage, so sets stay self contained. The portable unit is the exported .farragoset file with tiles, audio and settings inside.

Sample sets ship with the app for music loops and effects. Search spans local tiles plus GarageBand loops and Freesound, with license notes riding on imported tiles. Up to 80 sounds fit per set.

Self contained sets with copied audio inside app storage. Export .farragoset files for sharing and backups. Individual tiles export back to audio files from the Tile menu.

Frequently asked questions

How do I share a Farrago sound set?

Highlight the set and choose Export Set, or drag it to the Finder. It writes one .farragoset bundle with audio and settings that any Farrago install imports on double click.

How do I get an audio file back out of Farrago?

Highlight the tile and use Export Selected Sound, or drag the tile to the Finder. Farrago copies imports into its own storage, so this is how you get the underlying file back out.
