Where Does Piezo Save Recordings?

Piezo saves recordings to the Music folder by default, with each source getting dated files. Where they land and how to move them.

Last updated

Piezo records per application source and files each take with a dated name. The default output root is a Piezo folder inside Music. You rarely need the path memorized because the Recordings view reveals it.

Each source can point somewhere else, which scatters takes when changed mid project. Pick the target before pressing record. The app's own settings screen shows the current root when memory fails.

Default output root with dated takes per source. Change per source in settings. Reveal any take from the Recordings view to open the true folder when the path was customized.

Frequently asked questions

How do I open the Piezo recordings folder?

Open the Recordings view and use the reveal in Finder control on any take. That opens the real folder even after the output path was changed. The default root is the Piezo folder inside Music.

Can I change where Piezo saves?

Yes, per source before recording starts. Later takes follow the new target while older files stay where they were made. Move old files by hand when consolidating an archive.
