Where Does Feeder Store Feeds and Articles?

Feeder keeps feeds and cached articles in a local database on Android with OPML import and export for moves.

Last updated

Feeder is local-first and account-free. Feeds, groups, and cached articles live in the on-device database under its package sandbox. There is no server copy anywhere.

OPML is the entire migration story. Export regularly if the feed list matters. Play and F-Droid builds use different package suffixes, so match the file to your install when digging manually.

Where Feeder stores this, by platform

Android
/data/data/com.nononsenseapps.feeder.play

Private sandbox with the local feeds database. No account or cloud copy. OPML export is the backup; Play and F-Droid packages differ.

Frequently asked questions

How do I move Feeder feeds to a new phone?

Export the OPML file from settings and import it on the new install. Feeds and groups transfer in that file. Read state starts fresh unless synced elsewhere.

Does Feeder have an account or cloud sync?

No account exists. Everything stays on the device by design. The OPML file is the backup, so export it before wiping or switching phones.
