Where Does Finamp Store Downloads?
Where the Finamp Jellyfin client keeps downloads and settings.
Last updated
Finamp keeps offline music in its app support directory plus any download locations you add under Settings. Server logins and playback prefs stay in app data while the downloads themselves follow the starred location.
Android quirk history matters: downloads once showed as cache in system storage screens, hiding real usage. Betas moved them to proper app data reporting. Logging out of a server can prune downloads tied to it, so back up topped up libraries first.
Where Finamp stores this, by platform
<Finamp app data>/downloads/
App support directory for offline downloads plus starred custom locations under Settings, Download Locations. Star a location to activate it. Server bound downloads may clear on logout from a different server.
Frequently asked questions
Finamp ignores my custom download folder. Why?
Open Settings, Download Locations and star the directory you want active. Added locations do nothing until starred, which is the most reported confusion in the issue tracker.
How do I download to the SD card?
SD card writes need manual ADB granted permissions on current Android, documented in the tracker. Grant them, add the location, star it, and confirm downloads land there before filling internal storage.
