Where Does Fooocus Store Models and Outputs?

Fooocus keeps checkpoints in models checkpoints and generations in outputs, with paths editable in config.txt.

Last updated

Fooocus mirrors the portable layout. Unzip location becomes home: checkpoints under models checkpoints, LoRAs and VAEs in sibling model folders, generations in outputs. First launch auto fetches preset models into those trees, including the 1.28 GB inpaint patch on first inpaint use.

config.txt appears after first run and remaps every path plus defaults like sampler and scale. Break something and delete the file for factory behavior. Docker runs just bind host model and output folders over the same interior names.

Where Fooocus stores this, by platform

Windows
[Install]\Fooocus\models\checkpoints

Outputs in [Install]\Fooocus\outputs. Launch with run.bat (general), run_realistic.bat, or run_anime.bat. Edit Fooocus\config.txt for path remaps.

Linux
[Install]/Fooocus/models/checkpoints

Same tree via git clone plus conda setup. Output path, temp path, and cache path launch flags override config.txt values when scripting headless runs.

Frequently asked questions

Where do Fooocus generations save?

In the outputs folder under the install root. Filename templates, formats, and metadata embedding come from config.txt output settings.

How do I share models between Fooocus and ComfyUI?

Point both at one host folder with volume binds or config.txt path edits. Keep checkpoint, LoRA, and VAE directories aligned so both frontends see the same files.
