Where Is Girls' Frontline 2: Exilium Data Stored?
GFL2 progress lives on Sunborn's servers, while bulky game data sits in the install folder you chose.

Girls' Frontline 2: Exilium is a server-side gacha game, so there are no precious local save files to back up. Your account on Sunborn's servers is the save. What lives on disk is the client itself: the GF2Exilium install folder (or steamapps/common on Steam) with gigabytes of downloaded assets, plus local settings and cache.
That reframes backup strategy. Do not hunt AppData for saves. Copy the game data folder before migrating launchers so you skip the redownload, and screenshot your account binding page so you never lose access. Steam Cloud userdata exists for the Steam build but mirrors settings, not progress.
Where Girls' Frontline 2: Exilium stores this, by platform
<install>\GF2Exilium\GF2 Game
Contains the GF2 Exilium Data asset folder. Copy this whole tree when migrating between the standalone launcher and Steam, then verify integrity.
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\[SteamID3]\3347400
Settings mirror for the Steam build. Progress itself is server-side, so treat this as disposable cache rather than something to archive.
Frequently asked questions
Will reinstalling delete my characters and progress?
Nothing. Progress, characters, and weapons are account-bound on the server. Reinstall, log back in, and everything returns. Local files hold settings and downloaded assets only.
How do I move from the standalone launcher to Steam without redownloading?
Copy the GF2 Exilium Data folder from the old client into the new steamapps common folder and verify integrity. Steam then sees the assets instead of fetching tens of gigabytes again. This is the community's standard launcher-to-Steam migration.
