Where Does Gossip Harbor Store Save Data?
Gossip Harbor keeps restaurant, story progress and events on Microfun servers. The phone stores cached art and the login that unlocks it all.

Gossip Harbor earns its cozy reputation by letting you merge and decorate offline, but the board and Quinn's restaurant are not fully local. Story progress, renovations, and event state sync to Microfun servers against the account you connected: Facebook, Google, Apple, or the guest ID the game generated at first launch.
Guest play is the trap. Everything works, which makes it feel safe, until the phone is replaced and the board is simply gone. Connecting an account takes a minute and turns a reinstall into a non-event. The folder on the device holds the art and the login, not the story.
Where Gossip Harbor stores this, by platform
/storage/emulated/0/Android/data/com.mergegames.gossipharbor
Cached story art, merge item graphics, event resources, and sign-in state. File managers on Android 11 and newer cannot open it. Clearing it signs you out without touching server progress.
/var/mobile/Containers/Data/Application/<guid>/Documents
Per-install container, GUID changes on reinstall, jailbreak needed to browse it. Full iPhone backups include it, yet the account login is what restores the restaurant.
Frequently asked questions
How do I move Gossip Harbor progress to a new phone?
Install the game and connect the same account you used before. Restaurant, story, and inventory come back from the servers. If the old phone played as a guest, the progress stays there and nowhere else, so keep that device until you have decided what to do with it.
I cleared Gossip Harbor's data by accident. Is my progress gone?
If an account was connected, no. Sign back in and the game restores the board from Microfun servers. Only guest progress disappears, and that copy lived solely in the app data you just cleared.
Why does the merge board reset after reinstalling?
It should not, as long as you sign in before playing. Start a fresh board while logged out and the new guest save becomes the active one, which is the usual cause of a reset that looks like data loss.
