Where Does Gwent Store Data and Settings?
Gwent keeps cards on the GOG account, with client data in a Unity LocalLow folder plus registry keys and full cloud cover.
Last updated
Gwent splits three ways. Cards and progress live on the GOG account. Client data sits in a Unity LocalLow folder under CDProjektRED. Preferences duplicate into the Windows registry under the same name.
Local copies move settings, never cards. A fresh install plus a sign in returns the entire collection on any platform. Note the support status: balance is community driven now, but accounts and servers keep running normally.
Where Gwent stores this, by platform
%USERPROFILE%\AppData\LocalLow\CDProjektRED\Gwent
Client data and local caches in the Unity tree. Copy it with the game closed to skip reconfiguration. Cards never live here.
<SteamLibrary>/steamapps/compatdata/1284410/pfx/
Steam Play prefix, app ID 1284410. The LocalLow tree is mirrored inside it.
Frequently asked questions
How do I move Gwent to a new PC?
Sign in with the same GOG account. Cards, decks, and progress follow the login on every platform. Copy the LocalLow folder as well to skip reconfiguring the client.
Where are Gwent settings in the registry?
Open regedit and browse to the CDProjektRED key, or change options in game and let it write them. The LocalLow folder holds the heavier client data beside it. Cards never live in either spot.
Where are Gwent saves on Steam Deck or Linux?
Use the Proton prefix with app ID 1284410. The LocalLow tree is mirrored inside it. GOG and Steam clouds cover the files while the account covers the cards.
