Where Does Hiddify Store Profiles and Settings?

Hiddify keeps client profiles in a per-OS data folder. Delete it to reset. Server panels back up separately.

Last updated

The Hiddify client stores subscriptions, nodes, and settings in a data folder whose parent follows the OS: Roaming AppData on Windows, Application Support on Mac, .config on Linux. Wiping that folder is the documented manual reset when the in-app option is out of reach.

Resetting deletes everything including subscriptions, so re-import links afterwards. Do not confuse the client folder with the server panel. Hiddify Manager on your VPS backs up from its own settings page to /opt/hiddify-manager/hiddify-panel/backup, a completely separate machine.

Where Hiddify stores this, by platform

Windows
%APPDATA%\HiddifyNext\

Profiles and settings. Quit Hiddify, delete or rename this folder for a full manual reset, then reimport subscriptions.

macOS
~/Library/Application Support/HiddifyNext/

Same role as Windows. Unsigned builds need the quarantine flag stripped with xattr before macOS will launch them. Reset by deleting with the app closed.

Linux
~/.config/HiddifyNext/

XDG home for the same data. AppImage, deb, and snap flavors may sandbox storage differently, so confirm the active folder before assuming a backup captured everything.

Frequently asked questions

How do I reset Hiddify settings?

Prefer the in-app reset under settings. If the app will not start, delete the folder above for your OS with Hiddify closed. Everything including subscriptions goes, so save subscription links separately first.

How do I back up my Hiddify server panel?

That is the other product. In the Manager web panel go to Settings, Backup, and download the file, or grab /opt/hiddify-manager/hiddify-panel/backup from the server over SSH. The panel also auto backs up every six hours and can push copies to Telegram.
