Where Does Honor of Kings Store Account Data?

Heroes, skins and rank live on the server, tied to your TiMi or Level Infinite account. Local files hold downloaded game assets.

Last updated

Honor of Kings, in its global release, stores progression on Tencent's servers. Heroes, skins, arcana and ranked points follow the account you linked: typically a Level Infinite account, or a social login where the region offers one. The app folder carries the local side of that arrangement: character models, map assets, voice packs and the session data that keeps the login alive between launches. The folder is large and regenerates after any reinstall, so treat it as disposable.

Players coming from the Chinese version should note that the two are separate games with separate data and separate accounts. The global app checks its own servers, and nothing in the folder bridges the two. For everyone else the routine matches other server-side mobile games: link an account early, confirm it in settings, and phone upgrades stop being an event. Do that before the first payment, not after.

Where Honor of Kings stores this, by platform

Android
/storage/emulated/0/Android/data/com.levelinfinite.sgameGlobal

Global build folder holding character models, map assets, voice packs and sign-in state. Hidden from file managers on Android 11 and later. Clearing it forces a re-download but never touches the account.

iOS
/var/mobile/Containers/Data/Application/<guid>/Documents

Per-install container with a GUID that changes on every reinstall, out of reach without a jailbreak. The linked account is what restores heroes and rank, not these files.

Frequently asked questions

How do I move Honor of Kings to a new device?

Link a Level Infinite account or supported social login in settings, then sign in with it on the new device. Heroes, skins and rank come back from the servers. A guest profile that was never linked stays behind, so bind before switching.

Can I bring my account from the Chinese version to the global game?

No. The Chinese and global releases are different games on different servers with different accounts, and no folder or settings trick converts one into the other. A global account starts fresh, and vice versa.

Is the game folder safe to delete when storage runs low?

Once a login is linked, yes. Models, voices and maps are all re-downloadable assets, and the next launch fetches them again. Expect a long first load over Wi-Fi, and keep enough free space for the rebuild to finish.
