Where Are IXION Save Files Located?

IXION keeps numbered saves in a BulwarkStudios LocalLow tree. Windows path plus Proton notes.

Last updated

IXION stores chapters in a Saves folder under LocalLow. The company folder has no space: BulwarkStudios/Ixion, which trips up guides writing Bulwark Studios with a gap. Inside Saves sit numbered folders with Player.sav files, and negative numbers mark autosaves.

Settings live in a Settings folder beside Saves with a Settings.save file. Generic aggregators naming LocalLow/IXION/SaveGames skip the company folder and point nowhere real. Copy the numbered folders with the game closed; Steam Cloud mirrors under app ID 1113120.

Where IXION stores this, by platform

Windows
%USERPROFILE%\AppData\LocalLow\BulwarkStudios\Ixion\Saves

Numbered chapter folders with Player.sav; negatives are autosaves. Settings in the sibling Settings\Settings.save. Note the spaceless BulwarkStudios. Cloud mirror under userdata/1113120.

Linux
<SteamLibrary>/steamapps/compatdata/1113120/pfx/

Steam Play prefix for app ID 1113120. The LocalLow tree above is mirrored inside the prefix at drive_c/users/steamuser/AppData/LocalLow/BulwarkStudios/Ixion.

Frequently asked questions

Where are IXION autosaves?

In the same Saves folder under negatively numbered directories beside the manual slots. The game rotates them automatically. Copy the whole Saves tree to preserve both kinds together.

Why is there no IXION folder in LocalLow?

The company folder is BulwarkStudios without a space, so searches for IXION alone can miss the nesting. Look for BulwarkStudios first, then Ixion inside it. AppData stays hidden until pasted into Explorer.

Where is the IXION settings file?

In Settings\Settings.save beside the Saves folder under BulwarkStudios/Ixion. Graphics and audio choices live there. Delete it with the game closed to reset options without touching chapters.
