Where Are Kingdom Two Crowns Saves Located?

Kingdom Two Crowns saves a global-v35 file in LocalLow, with separate Microsoft Store and Linux paths and cloud sync.

Last updated

Kingdom Two Crowns is a Unity game, and its save is a single file named global-v35 under %USERPROFILE%\AppData\LocalLow\noio\KingdomTwoCrowns\Release. Settings live in the registry. Steam Cloud offers about 71 MiB, and Xbox Cloud covers the Microsoft Store build.

The Linux version follows XDG and puts the same file under the config directory. If you own the Microsoft Store version, the packaged path is different and the file is not in LocalLow. Check the store before you go looking.

Where Kingdom: Two Crowns stores this, by platform

Windows
%USERPROFILE%\AppData\LocalLow\noio\KingdomTwoCrowns\Release\global-v35

Save file for Steam and GOG builds. Settings are in HKCU\Software\noio\KingdomTwoCrowns. Steam Cloud has 71.53 MiB.

Windows
%LOCALAPPDATA%\Packages\RawFury.0a615e32-96fb-4bd7-a194-f1dc1fdb4f1f_9s0pnehqffj7t\SystemAppData\wgs

Microsoft Store and Xbox app build. The wgs folder is managed by the store and is not meant for hand editing. Xbox Cloud syncs it.

Linux
~/.config/unity3d/noio/KingdomTwoCrowns/Release/global-v35

Native Linux build follows XDG. The same global-v35 file lives here, and the preferences file is in the parent folder.

Frequently asked questions

Where is the Kingdom Two Crowns save file?

In %USERPROFILE%\AppData\LocalLow\noio\KingdomTwoCrowns\Release\global-v35 for Steam and GOG. The Microsoft Store build uses a packaged wgs path.

Does Kingdom Two Crowns have cloud saves?

Yes. Steam Cloud covers the save with about 71 MiB, GOG Galaxy syncs its version, and Xbox Cloud handles the Microsoft Store build.

Why does my save not appear after switching stores?

Steam and GOG share the LocalLow file. The Microsoft Store version uses a different packaged container, so do not expect the LocalLow save to show up there without a transfer tool.
