The HD-2D remake saves its eight eras in Documents under My Games, inside an all caps LIVEALIVE folder with a Steam level below. Your account ID forms the bottom of the chain.
The Super Famicom original saved to cartridge battery, which dates everyone who remembers it. Copy the account folder and all seven eras plus the finale travel together.
