Where Does Manga Planet Store Downloads?
Manga Planet Futabasha subscription library with offline downloads on mobile.
Last updated
Manga Planet (Futabasha) keeps the subscription catalog, library and reading progress on the account with chapter downloads in app private storage for offline. Indie and classic licenses share one shelf.
The subscription is the key to the cache: lapses lock downloaded chapters even when bytes remain. Each device downloads its own set. Reinstalls restore the library on login and forget the files, so requeue travel reads on Wi-Fi.
Where Manga Planet stores this, by platform
App-private storage (chapters downloaded in-app)
Offline chapters with synced library and progress. Subscription state gates opening cached files. Clearing app data drops downloads; the account shelf returns.
App sandbox (chapters downloaded in-app)
Same model on iPhone and iPad. Deleting the app clears offline chapters while the subscription library persists. Renew before long offline stretches.
Frequently asked questions
do Manga Planet downloads work without subscription
No. Cached chapters need active membership to open. Keep the subscription current for travel, and renew before flights if reading offline matters.
how do I move Manga Planet to a new phone
Sign in to restore the library and progress, then download again. No file transfer exists between devices; the account plus fresh downloads is the whole migration.
