ManyCam splits its data: app settings and downloaded effect packs under Roaming AppData, and your own backgrounds, media playlists and snapshots under Documents. The virtual camera reads from both at launch.
That split is the migration gotcha. Copying only AppData restores options but leaves black backgrounds wherever a file moved. Back up both folders with the app closed.
