The remastered shadow saves in Steam's userdata directory under its own App ID, with progress in a users folder at the bottom. Klei's own launch post gave this exact tree when players asked.
The original game's userdata folder sits beside it under a different App ID, so the two shadows never cross. Copy the remastered folder and every tattooed upgrade transfers.
