Where Does Meowdoku! Store Progress?

Meowdoku! keeps streaks, solved puzzles and settings in app-private storage on Android and iPhone. There is no account to sync them.

Last updated

Meowdoku!, from Oakever Games, mixes sudoku and minesweeper logic and climbed to the top of Apple's US free games charts in October 2026. It plays offline, and that is the giveaway for where its data lives: everything except daily leaderboard times is stored on the device, in storage the operating system hides from file managers.

That means there is no export button and no account to log back into. Your streak, solved levels and preferences are local to the phone. Reinstalling the app starts them over, so a device backup is the only real safety net.

Where Meowdoku! stores this, by platform

Android
/storage/emulated/0/Android/data/com.oakever.meowdoku

The publicly visible half of the app's scoped storage. The progress itself sits in the private half at /data/data/com.oakever.meowdoku, which needs root to reach. The package name is from the Google Play listing, which shows 10 million plus installs.

iOS
/var/mobile/Containers/Data/Application/<guid>

The app's per-install container, where the guid changes with every install. Browsing it needs a backup tool, so in daily use the iPhone Storage screen is the practical view. Offloading keeps the app's documents, deleting removes the local progress with the app.

Frequently asked questions

Does Meowdoku! sync progress between devices?

No. There is no sign-in, so streaks and solved puzzles stay on the device that made them. The only server-side piece is daily leaderboard times, which upload through the leaderboard.

I reinstalled Meowdoku and lost my streak. Can I restore it?

Not from within the app, which has no account system. The streak lived in the app's local data and was removed with it. A full device backup taken before the reinstall is the one place a copy could still exist.

Why does an offline game ask for network access?

Leaderboards and ads. Daily puzzle times upload to the global leaderboard and the app serves ads when a connection exists. Offline play still works, just without those two pieces.
